11 Things to keep your mind healthy

I hope you have liked our last blog on “Satisfaction and acceptance”.

It’s really important to keep your mind calm, but as said an empty mind is a devil’s workshop, the more you sit ideal wondering about random things, the more gets attracted towards non-fruitful thoughts, I won’t say that the thoughts may always be negative or unproductive but definitely towards the topic that you may wish to wish avoid such as what would your competitor doing, or how do others earn so much, etc and because of this we try to do what goes against us.

The foremost thing that I believe is, it’s easy to stay ideal but difficult to keep yourself engaged in something, but it’s most important so that we stay in focus doing either what we love or what’s required to be done.

The few enlisted things below are suggestions of things that you could do to keep yourself busy as well as few things that will help you keep your mind healthy.

  1. Work Towards your goal or its development.

A very few people actually know what they want to do in their life (I’m out of this league) but something doesn’t concentrate on those and work towards various other things which actually disturbs the management of thoughts in your brain. It’s much important that every day we spend part of time by working towards our goal or understanding ourselves to develop them.

  1. Exercise and Meditate.

Our body works as per our mind signals and mind signals as per our body reacts, disturbing anyone of the both can create problems within you, it’s important that we keep the immunity of our body and mind always fit and always work towards making it better. Physical moments are for your body and meditation is for the brain. Keep practicing it regularly.

  1. Have a Healthy Diet.

Your thoughts are almost defined by your situation, emotions and what you eat. Always keep your food simple and interesting for you, keep trying different variants but with something that healthy and provide your body and mind with proteins and minerals. (we will have another blog specially on what you can eat to have a healthy mind.)

  1. Sleep Enough.

Do not believe on myth as working longer hours without sleeping or having proper rest would help your body and mind stay motivated toward work and will get you a promotion sooner but this will decrease the efficiency of your work which would just get your results degraded.

  1. Do what you Love.

It easy as it sounds, whenever we feel of that we aren’t emotionally happy at that moment, we feel doubtful about anything, we aren’t willing to work, etc the best thing is to do what you love i.e., follow and give time to your hobbies be it painting, swimming, sleeping, dancing, singing, music creation, gaming, reading, editing, learning, walking, long drives, talking to somebody, etc. the best way to move ahead keep growing and be happy is to first find what interests you, something that you can do all the time and get ways to monetize it.

  1. Learn new things

The more you spend your time towards learning something new, the more you explore yourself and grow exponentially. Nothing goes waste when learned with interest is what I believe and so I do. Anything from new languages, to technology, art, science, inventions, start-ups can be explored all the time.

  1. Stay Connected to People.

One of the most interesting things to do when you feel low or you’re ideal is to talk to people, be it old or new or present ones. Share your thoughts and emotions with them and ask them about opinions and what do they think about the topic. It helps you get new things to study upon and keep yourself busy always.

  1. Avoid Stress.

Stress is one of poisonous agent in our mind, that destroys or thinking and decision-making abilities. We have a whole blog on relieving stress and anxiety, click here to read the blog.

  1. Try things outside your comfort zone.

If you are an action taker and a risk player in your field, try to step outside your comfort zone on all the paths, try to explore all the new possibilities in your mind and what you explore. This helps you make your mind more sharper and situation adaptive which helps you avoid stress in stressful situations and move ahead faster.

  1. Play games.

Be it video games or puzzles, crosswords, scramble etc. everything teaches you something, try to keep it in control and this will help you refresh you mind.

  1. Alcohol, cigarettes and drugs are killers.

The above point is self-explanatory. Reducing the oxygen level in your body and mind the consumables take control over you mind, over dosage can lead to addiction & incurable diseases.

There any many more such points deepening from person to person that can be practised in your free time to keep your mind healthy. The above suggestions are in random order and can be used according to personal convenience.

Regular practise and consistence towards this can be fruitful in long run as been examined by experience and all people.
